ニューヨーク・ダークルームは有名な写真家ジェスパー・ヘインズが
80年代から90年代にかてのニューヨークの知らざる物語です。
ニューヨークの魂と鼓動が宿り、深い洞察に満ちた写真たちが、今月バンコクの中心地「Chaloem La Art House」へとやって来ます。
夜のパーティーの断片、路地裏で交わされる愛の告白、友人や見知らぬ人々のポートレート、そして都市の中で遭遇する数々の出来事で、そのすべてが、決して眠ることのない、そして無限の可能性に満ちたメトロポリス、ニューヨークを物語っています。
「常にカメラを傍らに置いている」という彼の言葉は、写真に対する深い愛を物語っています。
伝説的な写真家ラルフ・ギブソン（Ralph Gibson）のもとで技術を磨いた写真家、ジェスパー・ヘインズとの出会いを経て、本展では彼の卓越した手腕が披露されます。会場では、精緻なモノクロプリントの展示に加え、限定版フォトマガジンの創刊についても紹介されます。

New York Darkroom – Photography Exhibition by Jesper Haynes

"New York Darkroom" is an exhibition that unveils a different side of New York City during the 1980s and 90s, captured by renowned photographer Jesper Haynes.
These profound images, brimming with the soul and heartbeat of New York, are coming to life in the heart of Bangkok at Chaloem La Art House this month.
Experience fragments of all-night parties, alleyway confessions, portraits of friends and strangers, and raw urban encounters. Together, they tell the story of a restless New York; a city of infinite dimensions and endless possibilities.
“I'll have my camera close by.” Haynes said, a testament to his enduring passion for photography.
Join us to meet the artist, who honed his craft under the legendary Ralph Gibson. This exhibition showcases his mastery through hand-processed black and white prints, and will include an artist talk as well as the launch of a limited edition photographic zine.
